Stella Weiß is a Leipzig-based photojournalist with a focus on environmental and sociocultural projects. She started studying visual journalism and storytelling at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover in 2020.

She earned her former bachelor’s degree in forestry and aims to combine these subjects in her work. Before that, she used to live in Norway some time and had her first group-exhibition there (Lille Galleri Kabelvåg, 2016). Her newer works were exhibited in Hanover (Goethe Exil, 2022) and a solo exhibition in Leipzig (MdbK, 2025).

Her most recent works deal with the horse racing industry as well as life in former East-Germany, specifically Leipzig and Riesa.
